Training Designed for CASA Programs Placement and Permanency Planning in the Juvenile Court
  • Advokids recognizes the critical role CASA programs play in California’s juvenile dependency system. We therefore offer a specialized training in permanency planning for CASA volunteers. It is important for CASA Volunteers to understand the avenues available to all parties and caregivers to participate in the juvenile court process in a way that encourages concurrent planning in the early stages of a dependency proceeding and ensures permanency as soon as possible for every foster child.

The Juvenile Court is ultimately responsible for the safety and welfare of every foster child. This includes their need for permanency.
